Mr. Traeger is head of the Firm’s Environmental Practice Area, Chair of the Firm’s New “Green Business Practice,” and serves as internal General Counsel for the Firm. He specializes in the areas of environmental, administrative and corporate law with extensive experience in dealing with federal, state and local environmental regulatory authorities. Mr. Traeger is co-founder, Board Chair and a director of Sustainable St. Louis (www.sustainstl.org), a Missouri nonprofit organization and IRS Code Section 501 (c)(3) that is working with key stakeholders advancing the interests of the St. Louis Metropolitan Region on issues involving environmental regional sustainability for the St. Louis Metropolitan Area. He specializes in the area of environmental law, with an emphasis on the analysis of environmental risk associated with transactions involving the transfer of real property, business compliance with federal, state and local environmental laws and regulations and negotiations with environmental regulatory authorities. Mr. Traeger has considerable experience in the corporate sector where he served as environmental and corporate counsel for Ralston Purina Company, Sigma Chemical Company and Continental Baking Company.
